Dane is a commercial barrister at the Victorian Bar, specialising in complex commercial litigation. He provides clear, practical legal advice and persuasive advocacy for solicitors and corporate clients across contract disputes, shareholder and corporate governance matters, retail tenancy, consumer law, and building and construction disputes.

Dane began his legal career as a solicitor at a leading national law firm, practising in corporate law and commercial litigation. He was called to the Bar in 2005, practising for over a decade before founding and leading his own successful litigation-focused legal practice. He has now returned to the Bar, bringing a unique combination of courtroom experience, commercial insight, and practice management expertise.

Dane has appeared in matters across Victorian Courts and Tribunals, and has acted for corporations and individuals in New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory. He was a member of the Chief Justice of Victoria’s Supreme Court Rules Committee for 4 years.

Before becoming a lawyer, Dane held senior management roles in the banking, hospitality, and tourism sectors, overseeing multimillion-dollar businesses. This experience gives him a deep understanding of the commercial imperatives driving clients’ decisions and the practical realities of dispute resolution.

In private practice, he acted for many large corporate clients such as the the Chemist Warehouse group for which he acted in all manner of landlord and tenant disputes in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory for more than 8 years.

Dane is known for delivering strategic, efficient, and outcome-focused advice, making him a trusted advocate for solicitors and clients navigating complex commercial disputes.
